About the Artist

Carolyn Comras is a colored pencil and mixed media artist. Aside from a few classes in college, she is self-taught. While her primary medium is colored pencil, Carolyn finds that combining colored pencil with watercolor or pastels results in more vibrantly colorful paintings. Carolyn works in realism and gravitates towards the challenge of depicting luminous light and/or reflections in her pieces. Her work has been featured in several colored pencil publications as well as local juried exhibits.
